                Hi,

We are hoping to implement a few pre-defined screens in the new screener.  Stock Prospector, the advanced desktop version of the screener, comes with quite a few that we could choose from, but we are hoping to get our customer's feedback in regard to what their favorite pre-defined screens are.  Or to come up with some new ones!  Please post your thoughts here, and let us know any questions at all, thanks!

Hi- Love the screener. I wonder if it is possible to save serval stocks following a screening in to a dashboard for further study. If a file could hold an ssg, screening results, and a take stock summary it could save going to several sites to organize material for comparison. Maybe this is already possible? pari michalski

Pari, I don't know about saving the results of your screen, but you can save the criteria for that screen itself, so each time you use it, you will bring up the same stocks as long as they still fit the
parameters.    Gene Rooks

Prospector criteria I like: Predefined: Growth, Value, NAIC1, NAIC2 To these I sometime add additional criteria
Manual: I like to list a group of companies, such as ICLUB rooster, Manifest TinCup, etc and add additional criteria For this approach we need a way to save our criteria build.

                Hi William,

Thanks for your input!  To clarify for our members who don't have Prospector, the pre-defined criteria for the Growth, Value, NAIC1, NAIC2 predefined screens in Stock Prospector are:
--
Growth
Criteria1: EPS R2 5yr > .95
Criteria2: Hist5Yr EPSGr > .15
Criteria3: Hist5Yr RevGr > .15
Criteria4: Proj5Yr EPSGr > .15
  Criteria5: Rel Value

NAIC1
Criteria1: EPS R2 5yr > .95
Criteria2: Hist10Yr EPSGr > .15
Criteria3: Hist10Yr RevGr > .15
Criteria4: PTI Rating > 4
  Criteria5: Rel Value
Criteria6: ROE Rating > 4

NAIC2
Criteria1: Hist5Yr EPSGr > .15
  Criteria2: PE/ HistEPSGr
Criteria3: Proj5Yr EPSGr > .15
Criteria4: Total Ret > .15

Value
Criteria1: EPS R2 5yr > .98
Criteria2: Hist10Yr EPSGr > .15
Criteria3: Hist10Yr RevGr > .15
  Criteria4: PE/ HistEPSGr Criteria5: Rel Value

Most of these you'll note are not possible to currently recreate using the online screener.  In the future we will add a link to an advanced screener which will allow for screens by many more criteria.  It is possible for us to implement some pre-defined screens before the release of the advanced screener that will use some criteria that are not available in the basic screener.

In regard to:
>To these I sometime add additional criteria

I wonder William to which of these you add your own criteria and what the criteria parameters would be?  (and why, if you care to!)

In regard to:
>Manual: I like to list a group of companies, such as ICLUB rooster, Manifest TinCup, etc and add additional
>criteria For this approach we need a way to save our criteria build.

This may be possible with our current approach.  Currently if you click on "View Results" of any saved screen on the my saved screens page you will be at the results page where you can then click the "Edit Current Criteria" link, add/edit/remove criteria, run the screen and then "Save this Screen As" a new name.  I'd think when we implement a 'pre-defined screens' page that, when viewing the results page of a pre-defined screen you could click the "Edit Current Criteria" link, add/remove items, then run the screen and 'save as' something new.  To use it precisely as you outline above we of course would need to have pre-set screens for the ICLUB Roster (Complete Roster of Quality Companies i think you refer to) and the Manifest Tin Cup (not sure of what the parameters for this one are but we can find out).  To properly implement the ability to edit pre-defined screens we would need to have more criteria points available to edit, in the meantime though we could just display a message stating certain criteria are not available for edit (until the advanced screener is available), but allow users to add criteria from those currently available.  We'll see how that goes here during the development phase and we'll keep you posted on this issue.

Thanks, please let us know any questions/thoughts!
