ICLUBcentral just learned that Indiana will require partnerships with more than 24 partners to electronically file their Indiana partnership tax returns starting with the 2020 tax year. The number of partners is determined by the number of Indiana K-1 forms required to be filed. This means any partners who fully withdraw in 2020 will need to be included in the total partner number. While some states that initiate an e-filing requirement have a state run web site allowing partnerships to enter tax information into the web site to meet the e-filing mandate, so far Indiana does not. Clubs needing to e-file in Indiana will need to use a third party e-filing provider.
ICLUBcentral had already started work on adding e-filing ability for 3 more states when the Indiana news came. Unfortunately, Indiana was not one of these states.
