We have just released a new feature in the data service for
Toolkit 6 users, an indicator of whether or not a company’s stock trades as an American Depository Receipt (ADR). ADRs are securities that represent shares of stock in companies that are located outside the U.S., and are a great way for U.S. investors to diversify their holdings internationally.
Now, when you load data for a new company or update your existing stock library in
Toolkit 6 using the
StockCentral data service, the “ADR” will appear next to the ticker symbol above the graph on page one of the stock study form.
There are some specific characteristics of ADRs that affect how and when they report financial results, so this indicator will help you understand why a particular company’s recent quarterly results haven’t been updated as you might have expected, for instance.
