Turns out that Doug's call was right on the money. On November 14, 2023, reports about the weakening pace of inflation and strengthening economy in October indeed caused a small-cap rally, with the S&P SmallCap 600 index rising 5.4% for the day. From October 30 through November 20, 2023, the S&P SmallCap 600 index is up more than 10.0%.
As of November 20, 2023, the companies covered in the SmallCap Informer have benefited from the small-cap rally, with 41 of 48 companies posting gains in the three weeks since the last issue was published, ranging from a modest 0.2% to a whopping 27.4%.
