April 2017 SmallCap Informer Published with 2 Sales & 2 Picks

The April 2017 issue of the SmallCap Informer has been published with two sale recommendations and two stock picks.

Again this month we are recommending sales of covered companies. The first is due to an acquisition, which provides a nice outcome for investors in a relatively short period.

The second is another case of what we judge as over-valuation. We remind subscribers that we are firmly of the mindset that winners should be allowed to ride, but we also find it worthwhile to confront irrational exuberance when we see it and exit a position before it takes us down with it. The gains we’ve earned with this pick are plenty of compensation even if our sale is a bit early.

In this issue of the SmallCap Informer, we revisit a strong performer that we’ve profiled in the past. In 44 months, this stock has returned 124.8% with dividends, surpassing our five-year objective by a significant margin in less time. Interestingly, the current P/E of the stock today is just about where it was when we reviewed it first back in 2014.

Our second company is new to the newsletter, but completes a theme in this issue of keeping America rolling right along.
