Our Stockwatcher for Lincare will be suggesting a sell at our meeting 11/20.

I see Lincare as a Buy (I sold some time ago at 40 and am thinking of re-entering).

I have attached Mark Robertson manifestinvesting.com LNCREAGLE20060726.pdf file of April 2006 (note this is APRIL), and also the current EAGLE on MI, and conditions seem to have improved.

Nancy Isaacs wrote here " the [LNCR] stock price increased close to 8% recently due to easier-than-expected Medicare cuts in oxygen reimbursement. This from the AP news release: 'On Wednesday, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid lowered its monthly payment for oxygen to $230 from $231, far better than the anticipated payment of $209 when the proposed cut was announced three months ago.' "

This seems like good news to me. Anyone adding to shares now?

Someone here suggested buy up to 33.15, but I see the current price a comfortable buy as well.

Lowell Herr wrote: I track Lincare (LNCR) and observe it is in the bottom half of all stocks I track. Looking over my numbers, I find my personal SSG is positive. In fact, it is a "Buy." I do note that the PTP and ROI directions are both negative for the company. Some would say, stay away until the PTP direction turns positive. In addition, Morningstar gives it three stars, MSN has it as a 6 out of 10 for future performance, Take $tock ranks it a very low 1.1 for quality, and the PnF chart is bearish and still falling in price. I am negative on the stock."

The PTP is negative still, but the PERT sales are up for the past 3-4 quarters, and that's the first thing to turn positive.

I don't fear that this well-managed company can recover it's PTP. I see Medicare/Medicaid's final reduction as a non-event that upset LNCR for 2 years, but nothing more. What do you think? Any buyers?

Thanks,

Etana

Our club owns Lincare- have for years.  We have held on because it appeared to be well run company with temporary problems with the government.  Recently we did a comprehensive evaluation of the company using the Part 1 and Part 2 articles on When to Sell.  Also used the inventory analysis from another article.  We still decided to hold.  Not buy more because our position is fairly large, but to hold.  Thanks for great articles.  Certainly was the most comprehensive analysis we have ever gotten into.

Am evaluating the annual report on Lincare for my club.  I discovered that the auditor has found a material weakness.  This is frightening.  How often do companies find problems they don't resolve with the company so they don't have to have an adverse finding?  I know from discussion on iclub list over the years, the one point about Lincare is that they had good management and could ride out the problems with Medicare.  Seems they have done that.  But half of their revenue last year came from an acquisition.  Any ideas or input?  I am preparing a recommendation for my club.

LNCR SEEMS TO HAVE WEATHERED THE MEDICARE PROBLEM WELL. LOOKING AT PERT QUARTERLY AND ANNUALLY I AM THINKING THEY HAVE BOTTOMED. I AM LOOKING FOR OTHER OPINIONS. I HAVE SET MY SSG AT A GROWTH RATE OF 11.6% AS PER SALES AND EPS. I ESTIMATE $70.00 AS A HIGH WITH A BUY PRICE OF 34.75 TO GIVE ME A RETURN OF 15% ANNUALLY.
