EMC's 4th Q profit jumped 35% and beat Wall Street estimates (a/k/a an earnings surprise). Revenues for the quarter and for the full year were up 19%.
However, EMC shares fell more than 8% after VMware (VMW), a software firm almost as large as and 86% owned by EMC, reported disapponting revenues. VMW shares fell 30+%.
