I am getting a window that says invalid format while I am updaing data. I click on that box and get runtime error 5 invalid procedure call or argument.
Coincidentally this happens on KIM, TMA and AEC which are all REIT's. Other stocks are updating but this error message kicks me out and shuts down the program. I use TK5 with Win XP Home. IE Version 6. |

Danny,
That message means that the ticker is not in the data feed. AEC, KIM, and TMA are REITS like you said, and Closed end funds and REITs are not part of this data feed.

NOTE - I would like to clarify my earlier response, since it gives the wrong impression. Currently, the data feed only has data for some REIT's and most of them are not included. We consider this a problem, and are working to include data for all REIT's. Closed end funds and ETF's are excluded on purpose, but we intend to have data for common stocks, REIT's and ADR's. More to follow as we get those REIT's in there completely.

| Danny,
I'm having the same problem and I'm getting the same screen.
I'm using HD for the ticker symbol.

Tried it again still doesn't work. All I get is a screen that says, Sorry, that company wasn't located at this Web Site. The cause for the problem include: 1-the Web site doesn't follow the company you selected, 2- the ticker you entered was invalid- ( the company may have changed tickers) 3- you may not have access to this site at the current time Bobby |

I am getting a window that says invalid format while I am updaing data.
The error message that you get from Tookit is somewhat unspecific. Possible reasons are: 1. Bad Username 2. Bad Password 3. Ticker really isn't in the database 4. Bad download
You can check to see if the data really is in our database by visiting the 'data' page, entering the ticker, and downloading the file manually.
If you can download the file manually and can open it in Toolkit, the error probably means that you do not have Toolkit configured correctly.

Hi, all. I am also getting the Invalid Format notice. I did subscribe using my IClub Stock Central username and password for the IClub data feed, not NAIC. It works fine to pull in the SSG data to TK from the Stock Central website, but when I try to pull it in direct from ToolKit, the message I get is File appears to be in an Invalid Format. When I switch back to my SDS data signin for TK, it comes in OK. What else do I need to do to make it work through Stock Central? Gene Rooks P.S. The emoticons aren't working

Gene,
If you can download files from the website, but not directly inside of Toolkit, then problem is in your configuration of Toolkit.
Make sure the the "ICLUB Data File Subscription" is selected and that you use the exact same Username and Password that you use to login at StockCentral.
Make sure that you are using your username ... do not use an email address!

| Sometimes I am denser than at other times. I did have IClub data selected, I did use the correct user name, but I left off a letter in my password. Duh, thanks, Gene |
