I saw where BI members had been dumping BBBY shares on the most active list. Seems like they might have been focused on a couple of less than stellar quarters instead of the long range picture. It bounced around $34-$35 for some time and now is back over $40. Our club held and plans to for now. Parking lot is usually fillled at the local store. |

| I like the store. When I visit the sales people are helpful. You feel good buying there. Sara Seals |

The bowing of the Sales for BBBY is classic. Nine years ago it had just moved out of the Small-Sized into the Mid-Sized range of companies. Now it is at the low end of a Large-Sized company. I am, therefore, not surprised by the bow that you are seeing.
I was hoping to see BBBY commence paying dividends around now. The latest Value Line Report (9 February 2007) shows "Nil" for dividends from here on out 3 to 5 years. Interestingly the earlier Value Line Reports predicted the commencement of dividends. This caused me to downgrade BBBY.
I was not alone in noticing this. They showed up in ManifestInvesting's Stock Screening among the "Sweet Spot" stocks that paid a dividend. They are no longer shown as paying a dividend.
This is another example of "sweating the details" when it comes to "reading" a Value Line Report. |

Kenneth, this above action would actually have the opposite effect on me.

Did they pay a dividend at one time? I never saw that.

BBBY has never paid a dividend. Apparently something happened to cause the Value Line analyst for them to believe that they were to begin paying a dividend the first quarter of this year.
Danny, if you need a back issue of the VL report contact me via webmaster @ naicspace.org. |
