Posted By Joe Craig on 12/27/2006 3:56 PM NOTE: Ira's workshop has been delayed until January 15
Join us in The Classroom starting Monday, January 15, 2007 for a workshop designed for club treasurers. Ira Smilovitz will lead the discussion. Ira's presentation will focus on year-end procedures.
The workshop will be conducted with messages posted here. You can ask questions and participate in the discussions by replying to those messages.
If you aren't sure how to participate, just ask!
I have a very basic question initially. Our club is in the process of purchasing new software. We have the old Treasurer's program from NAIC. We are considering the iclub software or would you recommend purchasing the computer software?

Marie,
You may have purchased your old treasurer's program from NAIC, but unless it was a manual accounting system, it was produced by IClub or it's predecessor, Easyware. NAIC merely sold it for those organizations. I don't understand your question about choosing between IClub or computer software. IClub's software is computer software. At present, there are two companies producing accounting and tax software for investment clubs - IClubCentral and bivio. They each have demo programs you can download and try. You can reach them at:
IClub www.iclub.com
bivio www.bivio.com
