Joe, Would you care to voice an opinion on this company after the dramatic drop in expected earnings and drop in price? Jeff |

Jeff, I don't follow Oskosh, but it now has a Quality Rating of 3.2, and drilling down with Take Stock says that management isn't controlling costs. Possibly that change is related to the cost of fuel? |

I have a few shares and follow OSK for my Investment Club. It appears that the housing market slump has been instrumental in cutting the sales of heavy equipment plus a write down of a European Truck maker that OSK purchased last year and is not doing well.
And since everyone is "piling on" there is now a lawsuit brought by some shareholders alleging management has not been forthcoming with the real numbers...
I believe this is still a good company...and it still comes up a buy in The Stock Analyst Program with fairly conservative assumptions.
I will hold on for now, and depending on the results at the end of the FY (Sept) may even buy some more.
