Children are 10 and 8, and wanted to introduce them to stock ownership.

Has anyone had parrticular success in using a certain approach, toolset, or other?

Any gotchas? have them spend their allowance on at least some of it, or have it bought for them?

Help them pick the stock, or have them come up with one they're passionate about on their own?

All input is helpful.  Part of a New Year's Resolutions to get them involved.

Thanks.

BI had a book called Investing for Life which was aimed at youth, check out their book series at their site. Must be logged in to see this page, I believe.
