you can get a pretty good snapshot of a company's top dogs pay at this new site, sample GE

Here is the web site and you can type in a company, so far there are only about 50 companies using this format but it may become the industry standard. Might be good to add to the research links on SC.

Here's the article explaining it

Reuters provides the same executive compensation info with a few less details (fewer subtotals), but I think for more companies since not many are now submitting XBRL data to the SEC during this trial period.

- From StockCentral's Research Links page, go to any Reuters link and, once there, click Officers and Directors in the left-hand frame.

As the article makes clear, the SEC's new site is for much more than learning about executive compensation: users can also compare earnings, earnings, expenses, cash flows, assets, and liabilities for companies in the same industry.  At present, there are only 74 companies participating in this part, but 500 are (or may be) in the executive compensation part.

- GE's 5 top dogs got some $73 M last year with CEO Jeff Immett getting $17,863,452. [Woof, Woof and Oink, Oink]

- I couldn't get the comparisons to work for me [ouch]
