I did an SSG on Hibbetts Sporting Goods (HIBB) on both Stock Central and Better Investing. The Better Investing (OPS) data included the third quarter of data while the Stock Central SSG only included the second quarter. I received your email indicating that the Stock Central data would be updated weekly and you now indicate thta it has been updated through November 24. I just checked and the Stock Central data still only includes tne second quarter. In the future will the Stock Central data keep pace with the OPS data?

In the future will the Stock Central data keep pace with the OPS data? John, The OPS data includes "preliminary" data. When you update your SSG data, that isn't obvious. If you go to the OPS Company Report page for the company, you'll find that the most recent quarter is in bold which indicates that the numbers are preliminary. We do not plan to include preliminary data. Instead, we'll only provide data after the company has made its official filing and Hemscott has incorporated it into the data. While the inclusion of preliminary data may provide the illusion of being "up to date" you should be cautious, as the preliminary numbers are often different than the final ones.
