| Our club mentioned not having summer meetings. Historically, we always have met every month, only once in a while skipping a month if many were planning to be away. What do other clubs do about summer meetings? |

| Sierra Investment club meets 11 times a year. In July we hold a picnic with the first five minutes just news/assignments about the next meeting. Dues are collected at the June meeting for both months. (we don't want to get fried chicken on the checks)! We combine our Nov/Dec meeting into a christmas dinner in Dec. Business is just electing officers for the coming year. We collect dues in Oct for the three months. Any late fees collected that year are used towards the bill. |

| The WISE Investment Club meets every month and requires $25 each month, year in and year out. We don't see the number of attendees diminish in the summer. Our "annual party" is the December meeting, where the club buys dinner at a nice resturant for everyone. Typically, the members are in a mood to sell losses for tax time, and we sell a few stocks. |

Trader Janes meets 10 times a year. We do not meet in July and we do not meet in December.

Lakshmi Investments meets every month. Since we meet in the early evening, sometimes we meet in a backyard in the summer months.

| We collect dues for 12 months, if possible plan purchases for Jul & Aug, but don't meet those months. We have young moms and a couple of teachers and some that want to be off during the summer months. |

Gene, the Texas Tickers meet every month, even if the meeting day falls on a holiday. We are blessed to have two members who like to host parties. One of them hosts a potluck for the July meeting. The other one hosts a potluck for the December meeting. I have been treasurer of this club since 1997.
The Texas Live$tock meets every month except September (the month of our West Texas Fair). We do not meet if the meeting day falls on a holiday. For the December meeting we meet at a nice restaurant. We request separate checks. I am the secretary of this club and will become treasurer if our present treasurer ever tires of his position.
